Versatile design allows easy setup and grinding to sharpen or modify the flute and/or O.D. and end, as well as flute from the solid. The flute, O.D., and end can be ground in one chucking.

Backlash-free spiral grinding of carbide and HSS tools without the use of a support finger. Spiral mechanism can also be disengaged to allow finger-supported grinding.

Spiral angle adjusts rapidly with a simple dial adjustment - infinitely variable; right-hand or left-hand.

Types of tools ground include: roughing endmills, regular endmills, tapered endmills (optional), shell mills, threadmills, taps, drills, reamers and others. Increased accuracy of the flute spacing and geometry results in better tool life and productivity.

Rapid motion cross slide with crossed roller bearings, hand lever and spring return (optional). Useful during finger-supported grinding, end grinding and taper grinding.

The SGF-01 mounts on the table of most universal tool and cutter grinders (see photo above).
