Diamond Spot Anvil

The Diamond Spot Anvil is primarily for supporting thin, soft metal and should only be used on a Superficial Rockwell Tester with a ball penetrator. The polished diamond flat surface standardizes the frictional effect between the anvil and the thin test material. Never use a "N" diamond indenter as damage to the indenter and/or diamond spot anvil could result due to the diamond point pushing through the thin material and making contact with the flat diamond surface.
